Overview:
The Holistic Nutrition & Wellness Arts Diploma is a comprehensive, three-level educational pathway offered through the Institute of Natural Medicine & Healing Arts (INMHA). This full-track consultant program prepares students to work as Holistic Nutrition Consultants, supporting individuals and families through food-based education, wellness interpretation, and integrative lifestyle guidance.
This program views nutrition not as a set of rigid rules or isolated nutrients, but as a dynamic relationship between food, digestion, metabolism, nervous system regulation, emotional patterns, and terrain. Rather than diagnosing or treating disease, the program emphasizes education, pattern recognition, interpretation, and informed support, all within clearly defined professional and ethical boundaries.
Students complete the program at their own pace over approximately 10–18 months, progressing through three intentionally sequenced levels designed to prevent overwhelm while building true depth and competency.
Level 1 — Foundations of Holistic Nutrition & Wellness
Understanding the Animal Body, Terrain & Nutritional Balance
Level 1 establishes the biological, nutritional, and philosophical foundations necessary for ethical and effective nutrition consulting. Students develop a clear understanding of how the healthy body functions and how nourishment supports balance and regulation.
You Will Learn:
- foundational anatomy and physiology
- nutritional biochemistry (macros, micros, antioxidants)
- digestion, metabolism, and detoxification (foundational function only)
- food sourcing, processing, and ingredient awareness
- therapeutic food categories and ancestral nutrition
- hydration and electrolyte balance
- culinary nutrition and meal planning
- mind–body nutrition and nervous system regulation
- rhythm, sleep, stress, and lifestyle influences on nourishment
Outcome:
This level is non-clinical and educational, focusing on understanding rather than application to complex cases.
Level 2 — Applied Nutrition & Pattern-Based Support
Level 2 builds upon the foundation of Level 1 and introduces intermediate application of holistic nutrition principles. Students learn how nutrition concepts are thoughtfully applied across systems, life stages, and emotional patterns, while maintaining appropriate scope and consultant boundaries.
You Will Learn:
- applied anatomy and physiology with systems integration
- constitutional and pattern-based nutrition frameworks (PRSM, Ayurvedic, and TCM food energetics)
- digestive resilience and gut-focused nutrition
- immune and inflammatory balance through nutrition
- endocrine and metabolic nutrition support
- holistic weight regulation and metabolic balance
- mind–gut–emotion relationships and trauma-informed nourishment
- introductory herbal and supplement education for nutrition professionals
- women’s nutrition and hormonal balance
- pediatric nutrition and family-focused nourishment
Outcome:
This level strengthens integrative thinking and real-world application, without entering advanced clinical or diagnostic territory.
Level 3 — Advanced Nutrition Consulting & Case Planning
Level 3 is the advanced professional training level, where students learn how to ethically and responsibly function as Holistic Nutrition Consultants within wellness and integrative settings.
You Will Learn:
- understand pathophysiology from a nutrition education perspective (non-diagnostic)
- interpret blood chemistry and nutritional patterns
- use assessment and observational tools appropriately
- evaluate supplement safety, interactions, side effects, and contraindications
- work with layered and complex nutrition cases
- provide educational nutrition support in cancer care settings (non-treatment)
- maintain clear scope, ethics, and professional boundaries
- communicate effectively with clients using supportive, non-clinical language
- design structured nutrition consultations and case plans
- build a sustainable and ethical nutrition consulting practice
Outcome:
This level emphasizes interpretation, safety, communication, and professional readiness, culminating in advanced consultation and case planning skills.
Program Outcome
Upon completion of all three levels, graduates are prepared to step into the role of a:
Holistic Nutrition Consultant
Graduates are equipped to:
- educate clients on food, nutrition, and wellness principles
- interpret nutritional patterns and lifestyle influences
- support informed decision-making through consultation
- collaborate appropriately with licensed healthcare providers
Graduates are not trained or authorized to diagnose, treat, or prescribe medical conditions, and are educated to practice strictly within a consultant role.
Holistic Nutrition & Wellness Arts is more than a nutrition program — it is a terrain-informed, systems-based approach to understanding nourishment, balance, and the human relationship with food.
