Overview:

The Animal Nutrition & Wellness Arts Program is a comprehensive, tiered educational pathway designed to train students in holistic, nutrition-centered animal wellness using a non-diagnostic, terrain-based, and ethically grounded approach.

This program integrates species-appropriate nutrition, functional wellness mapping, herbal and natural support, behavioral observation, and environmental assessment to help students understand how health patterns develop in animals over time, and how to support balance safely and responsibly.

Students progress through three intentionally sequenced levels, moving from foundational knowledge to applied wellness planning and, finally, supervised clinical-style mastery for those pursuing professional animal wellness work.

Level 1 — Foundations of Animal Nutrition & Wellness

Understanding the Animal Body, Terrain & Nutritional Balance

Level 1 establishes the core scientific, nutritional, and philosophical foundation of animal wellness. This level is designed for beginners and professionals alike, with no prior animal nutrition training required.

Students learn to understand animals through a terrain-based lens, exploring how nutrition, digestion, metabolism, stress, environment, and lifestyle shape long-term health patterns.

You Will Learn:

  • Foundations of animal anatomy & physiology (digestive, metabolic, immune)
  • Species-appropriate nutrition principles (dogs & cats)
  • Macronutrients, micronutrients & hydration
  • Whole food diets, fresh feeding, and quality commercial options
  • Gut health, microbiome basics & nutrient absorption
  • Environmental and lifestyle influences on animal health
  • Ethical scope, boundaries, and non-diagnostic language

Outcome:

Students gain a strong conceptual understanding of animal nutrition and wellness, preparing them to move into applied observation and wellness planning without diagnosing or treating disease.

Level 2 — Applied Animal Nutrition & Wellness

Practical Assessment, Wellness Mapping & Support Planning

Level 2 focuses on application, teaching students how to translate foundational knowledge into real-world wellness support for animals.

Students learn to observe animals holistically, interpret wellness patterns, and create individualized nutrition and lifestyle support plans that are safe, ethical, and clearly within scope.

Level 3 — Animal Nutrition & Wellness Mastery

Clinical Integration, Casework & Professional Practice
